We are searching for someone who enjoys thinking about design in a structured way, maintaining systems, and helping to design technical tools and automation processes. Our ideal candidate brings strengths in both UI design and development – we’re not seeking someone solely focused on one discipline. Your role bridges both disciplines: roughly 50% focused on design system and token logic, and 50% on tooling, structure, and process optimization.
 
Your day-to-day will include:

• Maintaining and developing design systems down to the last pixel in various client projects, ensuring design quality, structural clarity, and consistency in tools like Figma. Exploring and creating innovative, client-specific design solutions from the ground up
• Maintaining and organizing design tokens, taking care of components, naming, documentation, and taking responsiblity for the structural integrity of the system. Being in close contact with clients and produce high-quality deliveries
• Learning about technical processes related to tokens and develop scripts, automations, or plugins.
• Assisting in setting up workflows and small helper tools that connect our Designs with the technical reality of the product – together with engineering teams
• Contributing to our DesignOps approach: We don't just want to use tools, processes, and systems, we want to help shape them or even define them.

You have experience with common design tools and design systems – and an eye for structured, clean, sustainable work. You're eager to explore and adopt emerging tools and technologies. Positivity and solution-oriented mindset drives your daily business and you genuinely enjoy developing expertise in technical topics.
Here’s what we think you need to succeed in this role: 

• A background/degree in UI/UX Design with a technical mindset.
• At least 3 years of experience in designing digital user interfaces (experience in the mobility industry is advantageous) 
• First experiences with automation or scripting (e.g., Node.js, Python, or AI Agents) are helpful but not mandatory
• You are good at structured thinking, and thinking beyond the screen level in terms of systems, reusability, and scaling
• You are excited to tackle different design system requirements from different clients
• Location: Munich area (2+ days per week in the office required)
• Fluency in English is required; German is a plus
